From the Swamp to the Stars (2013)
A No Face Performance Group piece.
From the Swamp to the Stars is a performance that takes as its starting point the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan. Following a conservative ideologue on a metaphysical journey into performative spaces both real and imagined, the piece uses the figure of the first celebrity president to interrogate the conflation of American politics and entertainment.
From the Swamp to the Stars was performed from March 27 - April 14, 2013 at AUX space at Vox Populi Gallery, Philadelphia, PA, as part of the 2013 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts.
